We get posts like these every time a new version is under construction. V8 is still in Alpha phase but the work is progressing along very nicely.
Patience - Good things come to those who wait!

I don't think jikaka will mind me sharing a sneak peek of some of the work done so far...

Awesome :)

It´s great that we have people full of anticipation.

We have always been careful with release dates. V8 is no exception.
We do have ambitions but we prefer to keep it private before we can be certain. It´s a lot better than letting people down.

We have a very solid but small core of Developers that works hard to take PHPFusion to the next level of CMS.

If you are interested in the Development you can always follow it´s progress here : http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/development.php

If you are a capable Developer with a genuine heart to help PHPFusion , you can apply here : http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/infusions...cation.php
We have multiple branches we need to assign people to start up with.

We will sum our current progress up in a news item similar to this one : http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/news.php?readmore=575
at abut the end of this or in the beginning of next month.

i have given up hoping for any updates on v8 im at the point i dont really care it comes when it comes i just hope all the addons are ported over well and debugged ;) how long is a piece of string rule of thumb here .

rome was not built in a day and to be honest i have lost the desire to bug people for it the wind has left my sails on this question :) being a year odd since first told and seen it was coming a year is just way to long the core should have been done by now i would have thought.

I don't care how long had the 8 idea started. For me, it all just began 3 - 4 months ago. Domi was appointed earlier 5 months ago? So whatever is happening, you cant count 1 year ago.

When we moved to main, we started the roadmap move everything to infusion under a single roadmap, not 15. It was ported, in 36 hours on a 2 man team. The admin panel was drawn up and used in less than 7 days next. That was RC1. Today we are RC4.

We built about 17 functions just for dynamic forms, 6 functions to re render, add in so many plugins, try run, discard unused. V8 has become a hybrid engine. with plenty of automatic sensors on manual ignition. No CMS have this.

Buy I appreciate the patience given. We do very cool things. Still. Everyday.
