I have a strange bug in the photoalbum...

Problem: The photoalbum.php (the one in the adminsitration folder) does not create an album folder in images/photoalbum. The entry in the database is created but without a folder it wont work ofcourse.... :(

Things i have tried: I chmodded the whole images/ folder and its contents to chmod 777. No effect.

Where does it occur: I have this problem at my internet host. The strange thing is that i DONT have this issue on my own testing server.....

Both are running php 5.1.4 with safe mode on.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi

This is for 6.01.xx

When creating a New Album the only thing created is a new entry in SQL. There are not created any folders in images/photoalbums !

I guees you would upload all your pic to the folder and think they would popup in the album. Sorry thats not how it works.

You have to add the pic´s one by one in the albums where you want them from the admin page. But in the folder images/photogallery ALL pic from ALL albums will be placed in one long row.

The album places the name for the pic in SQL under the album name, then its only looks for the pic name so no need for folders !

@ bimmer: I allways add my pics via the admin panel. The strange thing is that i cant add more dan 1 (!!) piture! AND i can only get 1 album.

Pictures added via the admin panel are uploaded to the images/photoalbum folder but are not added to de database. Only the first picture gets added to de DB. :(

Same goes for the albums; First one added to the DB, 2nd and further not...

First i thought that the photoalbums.php had to create a folder. Thats wrong; not in safe mode.

I guessed that when no folder is created a second album cant be made. But today i looked at the script and i found that it has nothing to do with it.

Unfortunatly i still cant make a second album or add more pics to that one album. :(

I have the same problem.
I prepared a site off-line on a local network computer. It works fine and for each photo-album it creates an sub-folder.

Now I uploaded all the files to the internet server, made an export of
the local database and I imported it in the internet database, and changed some nescesary parameters. Everything works fine, except the photoalbum. In the php file I found that it checks for "safe mode". In safe mode, obviously all the files of the albums are placed in the same directory. In not save mode there's a separate directory for each album.

Is there any method to overrule this ?

This is because your net server has safe mode ON which on your local host will be OFF. Safemode ON forces the gallery to act in safemode which does not organise albums in separate folders. This is down to a limitation in PHP.

That was exact what I told.
The question is: Can I overrule the safe mode somehow ????

No this is set by your web host, only they can turn safe mode off and that is very unlikely.
