Hey Guys,

I'm on a new project for different content-management-systems where people will shown what's possible with these cms. One site of this big project is a site for PHPF of course.

Each site will contain instructions, videos, tons of information about the cms and pics of front- and backend.

It just has started but I wish to show you this early "alpha" of the fusion site.

Any more ideas for what is missing or have to be integrated are welcome :)

Take a look and leave a comment:

Thx in advance :)

The Theme and all the rest of the code shall be available according to our license, AGPL v3. If it is not, please inform me about it. Preferrably in a PM.

The Theme is available HERE.

The "rest" of code is plain HTML, CSS and PHP.
Any changes of original theme is part of my individual work.
In addition it's a very early ALPHA and unfinished project at all.

There's no need to threaten with any "consequences" of any kind....

As yet I thought PHPF is a great CMS with a great community and I wanted to support it in any kind of help (I'm using and supporting it since 2007), even as on http://gfdf.de ... meanwhile I think I should change my Mind when reading those posts....

Layzee: You have done a good job, which is the reason that your work is being attractive. That is not a bad thing at all, imo...

As for AGPL, that is the license we're licensed under, have been licensed under since the release of v7 and we will continue to be licensed under AGPL. That is the explicit wish of our founder and I can't see any reason for us to change this.

v7 was released way back in August 2008, which means that our "new" licene isn't that new, half of the time we have existed we've been licensed under GPL v2, the latter half we have been licensed under AGPL v3.

We changed licenses on August 11 2008, see here:

http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/news.php?...admore=418

As for me writing any offensive texts about our license, licensees, forget it. I do respect each and every contributor to this CMS, but fact of the matter is that we're licensed under an Open Source license with a strong protection for the copyright holder and also for Open Source software as such, since all code you change and use to interact with other users with over a network, you must share with the users you interact with and that in itself secures that code changed by users get back out to the community.

We have a solid solution for Open Source and other solutions when it comes to licenses and they are not up for debate, really.

We will not change our licenses. And we hope that talented users like Layzee and others will keep on doing great stuff in the future, thus strengthening Open Source even further.

If you wish to keep your code to yourself, well, AGPL is not the proper license for anybody. Then again, why having a problem sharing when using Open Source products?

I never had any problems to share everything I coded!

I translated parts of the AGPL V3 in german and as you can see, these texts are part of the GFDF (Informations). Every Addon or Theme I've worked on in past is available in public sections (without registration) of one of my websites.

As this project is unfinished and (I say that again) a very early ALPHA, there's no working theme to share. Because of that I linked the original theme here.

When the project is in final stage I will share all of it - as always done since yet.

So there's no problem at all and your "offensive text" was unforced at all imo.

Super Admin

I see no offensive text´s here, just enlightenment´s.

If you go public with a work people will considered it "ready" thus asking for the sources. That´s what happened.

The AGPL license states that you must share everything you do based on PHPFusion.

You can get excluded from AGPL´s sharing by either owning a CRL or a CCL as an agreement with the Copyright holders PHPFusion.

CRL is quite useful for people who like to develop or have unique sites. It´s less good for PHPFusion as a whole.

CCL is needed if you are to sell and distribute products connected and developed for PHPFusion.

The license´s have been around for a long time as mentioned.
Many people seem to have been either miss informed or simply haven´t understud what they mean.

We are currently building a license FaQ and a clarification of licenses section because of this.

Any futher discussions would need to be in PM´s regarding license matters.
