so .. i noticed 2 codes in there , should i use the first for news and the second for articles ?? or yours will do both ?

and will the browser detect the feeds ? i mean the feed icon in the address bar ..

You have to this in themes/templates/header.php

No. use add_to_head() to avoid modding of core files.
