sendmail not working

I have v6.01.18 running smoothly.
I installed v7 on the same server to test it.
The sendmail stopped functioning. The contact form and registration form both are telling me that the [message has been sent]. But no mails are reaching my inbox.
All settings are the same as in v6, but v6 is working and v7 is not.
I had installed the custom contact form infusion on both the sites (The correct updated versions). Even here only the v6 is working and v7 is not.
I looked into this forum and tried the sugestions. No results.
Any ideas?

Finally got my sendmail working!
Edited the line in sendmail_include.php (Found in includes folder)
from
require_once INCLUDES."class.phpmailer.php";
to
require_once INCLUDES."phpmailer_include.php";
.
