I am currently testning the news system but I got confused. I think that the system is not resizing the images correctly. When the news are viewed in three columns the image is cut and long, also on news gallery at the bottom when you open to read the whole news item the image is cut or sometimes (for example try uploading an HD image) you have just a very long gallery thumbnail. In list view of the news text is not the whole (the category is not visible when the text is more) and in the carousel it is written that my last update was 01.01.1970. The theme I am using i Bootstrap.

In your News settings, adjust thumb sizes to match theme and / or your images better. You can select ratios and specific sizes for your need.
The 1970 on update is fixed for next patch, ty for reporting.

The image in thumb is in the extended news is not being resized correctly. That is my point. I think that the news has to have some tweaks.

What I mean is that you might be able to achive your wanted result with aspect ratio options and/or defined resize settings in the news settings tab.
Have you played around with these settings yet?

Yes I have and the result is the same. Long images. And the text is not displayed when chosen list view option.
