Hi, I am one of the two admins from http://www.mattvaughn.org (friend is full of himself)

Anyways noone seems to be able to register a name. Everyone has to be manually added. It accepts the information.. When the user goes to login the ID does not exist.

Current settings are:

Enable registration system? : YES
Use email verification for registration? : NO
New members activated by admin? : NO
Display validation code? : YES
Validation code display method : IMAGE

what am i possibly doing wrong?

You have more issues than that. When it says:
Registration complete
You can now log in.
... it also says, "Unknown column 'user_threads' in 'field list'".

My suggestion is to reinstall. It looks like some tables were not installed properly.

is there a way to manually edit or fix that with out reinstalling? "Matt" has the server at his place... about 700 miles out of my way. We have reinstalled it 3 times in a row with no success. Now that i have alot of things edited i really wouldn't want to have to reinstall again and lose like 2 or 3 days of work.

First, you need to check the table structure of your database. I'm wondering what all is missing and altered. It appears as though at least one table is missing.

I'm also thinking that all registering members are being dropped in the fusion_new_users table instead of the fusion_users table.

It is hard to pin point the error, since no one uses the "NO" option for Use email verification for registration

still totally not working and the email thing isnt working yet so i have to go without Email registration. I mean it IS an option that can be turned off so if registration doesnt work with out email then whats the point of being able to turn it off? Did 2 fresh installs again last night and once again i am unable to register users unless i manually make each name through the admin panel. So the site can make users.. but seems to not be able to do it from the registration form. anyone got any ideas yet?

well.. looks like the Register.php file was screwed up. Since redownloading the files and reinstalling didnt work I got someone elses working one and it works fine. my users have no problems registering now, the one in the install is just junk.
