Is this serious?

I mean, putting code into my homepage, belonging to some other site. I would like to know more about what admins in this forum says about this page.

Im not trying to be rude, but nowdays people hack around crashing other homepages...I will be sure before I add any code into my own site ;)

Question though, where should I put the code? In a php-file or as a user-page?

Show me the code, and I will say to you if it is "bad" or not ;)

If it is only HTML-Code, then use user-page.

Never use PHP-Code from people you don't trust. But HTML-Code should be secure ;)

Im supposed to put this code into my own site (dont know in what file though)

<!-- begin Php-Fusion Topsites code -->
<center>
<a href="http://www.topsites.freelinuxart.com/index.php?page=in&id=XXX">
<img src="http://www.topsites.freelinuxart.com/index.php?page=button&bid=1&id=XXX" border="0" alt="Php-Fusion Topsites" title="Php-Fusion Topsites">
</a>
<br>
<b><font size="-1">
<a href="http://www.topsites.freelinuxart.com/index.php?page=in&id=XXX">Php-Fusion Topsites</a>
</font></b>
</center>
<!-- end Php-Fusion Topsites code -->

XXX is instead of my own ID...

Dont get me wrong here...I think its pretty nice to be able to get some stats of my own page...just dont want to put something in my page that might invite the ugly people ;)

You can add the code by creating a new panel like this

openside("Statistics");
  echo '<center>
Your Code Here!
</center>';
closeside();

Ok, thanks :)

Does it have to be active (the panel)?

What is the point tho? It seems like the only one that benefits would be http://topsites.freelinuxart.com, as it is getting the hits.

Statistics and ranking are only important if you have quality product. Quality product will product visits, members and increased pageranking.

I browsed the site and was not impulsed to click on any of the listed sites. Sorry, I am a marketing specialist and believe in proper marketing. If I want to create statistics and high pageranking of www.MyCrappySiteWithNoRealContent.com, I will add it to this site.
