I got an issue with Internet Explorer. My website is http://osguides.net and the login system is working fine with Firefox or any Firefox like browser but it's not working with Internet Explorer. It goes to the redirecting window and everything seems fine until it transfer you back to the website. Then you are not logged on. Is there any known issue with this or there is something else. As far as I can see I'm able to login on php-fusion.co.uk using IE. My PHPFusion for OSGuides is 6.01.15.

it's not the cache :( I've tried that ... I've tried from different machines as well. I've tried from machines that haven't opened this domain till now and it's not working :(

Can you post logins for a dummy user to test?

Take a look at W3C validator (16 errors): http://tinyurl.com/48psmd

Ok I'm working now on this. As soon as I have fixed the errors I'll post the result.

I think you have that classic annoying error some people have. I bet that if you tick the "remember me" box before logging in it will work in IE too. There's a fix inside for this somewhere in this forum.

I fixed the HTML errors. The validation is ok now. However the IE login is not working yet. I'm going to search in the forum once again to see if there is a fix. Actually it really worked with the ticket remember me but I want to make it working without this tick as well.

ok I found this: http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=38&thread_id=16421&pid=92845
However I'm not sure how to fix it. I'm really sorry for the dumb question but can somebody write it down in few steps?

Look at the post above the code chunk, there's a "pre-modified" file to download. Try it out!

You've won... Installed a new PC for friends tonight and experienced the same problem on my own site using IE7.

I tested it with the dummy logins on IE7 and it's working fine, is this an individuals IE settings thing or have you just fixed the problem and not posted yet? ;)

for now I just made the remember me tick marked by default. I hope it will be better in php-fusion core 7 so I'm leaving it like this for now and I'll do more changes when php-fusion 7 is released and stable so I can migrate to it.

How do you explain that "remember" me fixes it? It's more a weird bug than settings for cookies. That has been tried like 9000 times already.
