not everyone has a windows media player installed on their pc (i.e: my linux system :) ), and wmp is basically for playing local files, so even it's created , that just won't work well. because playing will differ due to codecs (not everyone can play them). so i'd suggest using online streaming formats like flv. i also made a bb code for playing flvs, check here

Can I use for .wmv, .rv and mpg

are they streaming ovr a site? i'd suggest to upload them to a video hosting site like google video and add from there, this will both save your bandwidth and fasten your jobs

rv is not a streaming standart as far as i know, and tehre's an online wmv player here but it requires microsoft silverlight (i'm sure it won't be 100% compatible with mac and linux systems), but it isn't bbcoded yet

try editing my flv player, i think their embed codes are just the same
