Nobody can upload avatars on our V7 website. It's very strange because my other V7 site works fine.
All the images folder have 777 and the size and the width/height is within the limit.
It doesn't work on Internet Explorer, Firefox, nothing.

The only differnece between the two V7 websites is that the one where I have this problem used to be a V6 site ( I upgraded ).

Are you certain all new files were uploaded during the upgrade?

Yep, I eaven re-uploaded them. That's why I don't understand what the problem is.

There is an easy fix for this. Why not add a simpel box where people can put an url to their avatar.
I only see advantages, no filesize-limits, less data-trafic for the fusionsite and less space-usage ( some people use free webhosts ).
An url for an avatar has been in every single forum/portal platform on the planet for as song as I can remember.
Seriously, is there another platform becides phpfusion on the planet where you can't use an url for an avatar?

In certain area's phpfusion is so "oldschool". So many unimportant things get updated while features that are so common just don't get added.

Have you already put in the request to add the feature...?

Are you saying that this hasn't been requesed before? I find that hard to beleave because there is already a tutorial for V7 how to do it. But I don't see the point in editing files because you have to overwrite them at new releases.

We also updated to V7 from 6, and now users cannot upload avatars, or even change their names. All the files we uploaded, I suspect that there must be an olf file from 6 that is causing the problem, or the db needs to be corrected somehow. Anyone have any ideas?

***update***

Turns out to be caused by the /includes/update_profile_include.php from a mod called fusionBoard4. Replacing that file with the original V7 version seems to have fixed it...
