You have likely set a v6 teme which will not work on v7 installation.

Remove all non v7 core themes and the installation should pick up the default v7 theme.

v6 infusions and and panels will most likely not work on a v7 installation, so disable all v6 infusions and panels and start looking for updates for those infusions and panels.

You should then get rid of errors and notices this way. If not, then post the error codes or notices you experience.

ok did that, now the main error i have is this

Notice: Undefined index: user_admin_password

i've tried setting my password in the edit profile box but it never sets.

also, everytime i try to switch themes or passwords in the edit profile section i get this error

Database update error occurs: Settings were not Updated!

how do i update my settings...

Then try re-uploading the ../includes/ folder.
