Forum Corruption

Hello everyone,
My site's forum is not working properly anymore. Members can no longer post new threads, they simply send them to the forum index. Posting replies however, still work fine.
When looking into the database, I see the last forum thread ID is like 663566... which is completely incorrect. It keeps jumping to this number once the forum ID reaches 509. Instead of the thread going to ID 509, it jumps to that big number and no more threads can be posted. I've tried everything I could think of to fix the problem but I must be missing something. I've tried cleaning the corrupted ID's via the database in table's "fusion_threads" and "fusion_posts" but it still jumps to that crazy ID number.
Help is greatly appreciated.
