EVE Online has many Fansite kits available so I am playing with an idea for a theme.

Name is Incursion seen here DEMO . Use theme switcher.

The header coding is most likely questionable to some. It is fixed at the top of the browser page with the site content rising up under it. The header is always visible, with navigation. Tested in FF and IE8. If you have a negative opinion on this please voice it.

The theme will be built in three colors, original orange, blue and green. Also might make it a switchable function ?? Looking at mega menu drop down option ?

The theme has a logo with " EVE Online Incursion " in it but I will include Dominion and Tyrannis with it also.

Another idea I have had is by removing EVE images this theme could be used for many other type of MMO games. The panels being grungy tech style.

So if you have ideas to improve it or want to use it let me know.

Looks good.

I would suggest enabling the left side panels for better previewing.

As for the header, I was actually working on a theme that functions exactly like that, yet the footer also is fixed. Very odd....

Great work, keep it up.

Hmm, I agreed with @NetriX. It's kind of that there's an "non-balance" between the Center-Panels + the Right Panels - taken the subheader-links in mind.

But maybe if you give the position of the subheader-links to the right instead of left - then there's maybe a bit more balance in it ?

That's just my opinion - but anyway it's a great work you have done there! (as usual)

I went ahead and added left panels in admin. They can see the navigation panel and its buttons.

Also went ahead and added code to center the header-banner area.

On a community site the navigation bar would have 8 buttons, the normal six plus login and register.

I am looking for other logo's like Star Trek that would work with the background, or its own.

Yeah - the enabling of the navigation-panel in right side is giving much more balance in it - and the centering of the header-banner too!

Edit: It would be great if you center the 3 panels/tables in the footer-area too I think. Right now they are not centered when looking above on the center-panels.

I am working on that.

There are actually four, but the forth is a member only and at this time the area is there but not the text until the member log's in.

Could put the title there but not the links.

What if using something like:

[syntaxhighlighter brush=php,first-line=1,highlight=0,collapse=false,html-script=false]echo "<center>";
if (iGUEST) {
THREE PANELS
}

if (iMEMBER) {
FOUR PANELS
}
echo "</center>";[/syntaxhighlighter]

- or how you would like to center the panels (dont know if it's tables/divs or something)
