Hi All,

I have the following question:


Importing the sql_dump from table "news" from the old database V7.01.05 to the new database V7.02 gives an error 1062.

Is it somehow possible to avoid that sql-error or convert it so I can import all my old newsitems (227)?

Why don't you use the upgrade to upgrade your site?

We didn't change the news table structure, just compare them, maybe you added a column to the old table?

I did use the upgrade, but I made a mistake in the proces. (think I used the wrong upgrade.php). I've tried to fix it but I have lack of knowledge :|

After reinstalling backup the site was messed up, so I desided a clean install. That went great and all my content is almost back on the site. Didn't mind to start a new site, looks great, but it should be greater if I can get all content from news back...;)

Okay... just check the table structure... I can't help here, cause news table structure is 1:1 the same in v7.01 and v7.02!

It seems to me that you have already news message with a news_id number 1

Yes, thas was what I was thinking, but I deleted all the rows, so the table is empty.(!?!)

It doesn't work that way. If you put 3 news messages into the database, delete all the content of the fields.
The first message/news you write after that is number 4.
So you can delete all content, but not the news_id.

Ok, I've now tried everything! I noticed tat there where minor changes in the V 7.02 databse-table so I certenly want to use the new table...
I have now made export of my table V7.02:

Please close, can't post the sql-export appearendly so can't get help...:|
