Domi, PMM or another administrator who is Responsible for addons, I did not understand a thing. I did a search for the latest themes in the category v.7.04 and the result returned was the theme "Arise" and not the theme "NewSlider." Clearly I remember having posted the theme in version v.7.04. Could check? If the category is wrong, please upgrade to version v.7.02.04. Can do this? (The version 7.04 simply means version 7.02.04, right?)

-------------

I not posted on the official theme thread because this matter is not to be solved by the author of the theme, but it is an administrative matter of addons.

Please do not use this thread for support. Use the official thread. Thanks. :)

No, he does not - I changed it :p

No such version exists - v7.03 is not even released yet. There will not be any v7.04 - the next major version will be named v8. I think it should be deleted and the add-ons associated with this version should be moved to v7.02. I do not know why that option exists, since v7.02 is the latest version. Any infusion or theme compatible with v7.02.00 will also be compatible with v7.02.04 - and all other versions in the v7.02 series (v7.02.01, v7.02.02, v7.02.03).

Sorry about any confusion this might have caused.

@halisson
My apologizes for attacking your memory , but i knew the system works. It was impossible to know that PMM dident like my version setting and decided to chnage yours ;)

@PMM
The versions exists for sure, just not in the major release you want it to only show.
The list are definatly to short in terms of how we are showing versions, i will need to do some changes to how we list the addon versions, current and future.
The plan is simple, I will impliment and use optgroups for major version and then display the last as we do now below for minor versions. Where we will need to cover a range of what works where.

Its not only about compability in the version display, its about features aswell.

The 7.02.04 had essential theme core changes such as the render comment functions.
Since we currently do not have any longer version display than X.xx i simply added the latest minor version as a version since it have new functions one can utilize with latest theme creations.

Don´t worry in due time i will have it all sorted as it should and always should have been from start.

Hehe, I am pretty sure I did not release a version called v7.04 - I named it after all ;)

v7.02.04 exists, but even if you want to include it, it should not be called v7.04 ;)

As well as I see, the current database even allows that, doesn't it?

Personally I think it will cause more confusion than good to include minor versions in the database, even though we added a function called render_comments to theme.php. Themes do not need to use that function in order to work with v7.02.04, so a theme written for v7.02.00 would also be compatible with v7.02.04, even if it does not use this new function. As a user, if I did not knew, I would not expect an add-on to be compatible with v7.02.00, v7.02.01, v7.02.02 or v7.02.03, if it was labelled v7.04 (or even if it was labelled v7.02.04). You see?
