Hi,

Fresh install of Php Fusion. Install went fine - I believe.

When I try to do anything in the Admin section and Save, I get
Notice: Admin Password not entered or incorrect.
pop up real quick.

So maybe I don't understand where the admin password comes into play? I have created a admin and a user password. I can't see where I need to enter the admin password. I can't login with it (at least not with my account). And anything under System Settings I try to do gives the above error when I hit Save / Submit.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Super Admin

Use phpmyadmin or similar and edit your settings table.
first try to clear these values :

site_host
site_port
site_path

They need to be cleared , if that dosen´t help try to enter the correct values directly.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

site_host was vps.mydomain.com (it will eventually be www.mydomain.com) - cleared the entry, left the key, correct?
port was blank.
site_path was / , cleared it. Still no go.

I guess I can force in 80 for port? Should path be / , or is that the 'linux' path, ie /var/www/ etc?

Thanks.

So, changed host back to vps.mydomain.com, port to 80, and site_path to / . Still no go. Blank or all filled in, no luck :(

Super Admin

Another option is to export all your data, save it as a sql file.
Edit the file and remove settings table and inserts there.
Re-install PHPFusion and import all saved data ( except the settings section ).

Sorry to bump an old thread - had some php server problems. All resolved now, but still can't log in as admin. I've started over fresh - this is a brand new install so there wasn't any 'data' to begin with really. I haven't even done anything on the install. I've uninstalled, deleted the database, reinstalled, still same problem :(

Let me clarify - and maybe this may help (maybe I'm missing something?) I have one account - my 'admin' account. I have a regular password and an admin password? My regular password works. I can log in, I can see Admin control panel, but I'm never prompted for my admin password. But if I go to say banner config, and put anything in, then hit save, I see "Notice: Admin Password not entered or incorrect." So am I supposed to somehow need to enter my admin password?

And just did a clean / fresh install, deleted all data, still same issue.

Any suggestions, or should I give up?

Thanks.
