I've just upgraded to 6.00.305, and everything seemed to have worked great. I then installed the shoutbox 3 enhancement, and that also works fine, with the exception that when I add the hiding panels mod, the smilies don't work (sorry different subject)

Anyhow, I noticed that when I went to the admin panel, and tried to edit a news item, I would click on the news icon and it would take me back to the main page (news.php is the default main page).

Any ideas as to why it would be doing this?

Actually, I followed the installation instructions to a tee. Please read my post again. I don't have problems with anything but the news administration, as well as the enhanced shoutbox interference with the "hidding side panels" modification.

I've checked and re-checked all files involved several times before I thought to post, as I didn't want to sound like an idiot. grin

That's exactly how I noticed that it wasn't working. I had a site maintenance news post that I created to let everyone know I would be upgrading, and now I can't even take it off, unless I just modify it from the SQL database.:|

Any ideas yet?

You know, to be completely honest, I didn't check right after I did the upgrade to 6.00.305, but I'm going to do that right now.

Okay after I did the upgrade on a test box, everything still works. I'm going to install the shoutbox mod and see if it crashes now. If it doesn't then I'll just have to copy all modded files from the test site.
