since i started using the fusion i've had pretty good security with the system, but of course if you're using the apache with filezilla ftp server then make sure that you're using your own ssl security file. very easy to make and distribute with the program. anyway, since i posted my site here in the forum i've had a great number of visits to my site, and that makes me happy, but of course the hackers or wanna-be hackers have to try their expertise also. while they couldn't crash my system with the ping of death, they did try to access the ftp with a password generator or decrypter, one of the two. now, because the beginning of the ip started with 83 ( won't give the full one yet) it is used from great britain to the netherlands. with the generator they tried spoofed the ip through ThePlanet.com, a hosting/referral service in texas, but left a trail back to the same ip as before. they have the log file now from my ftp.
my webserver is running through three routers back to back, yea 3. the ip is changed 4 times before it hits my server. a real hacker would break through that in no time. so, who ever it was, do me a favor and don't waste my time or bandwidth for the games that i'm too old for anyway. i'm trying to use my time to learn this fusion. i would greatly appreciate it.
