Error in PhotoAlbum

Hi, i've installed php-fusion on my Linux Server but i've got some problems with the Gallery because when i upload an image, it returns me an error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreatefromjpeg() in /home/rosso/public_html/rosso/maincore.php on line 615
The original image was been uploaded but the thumbnail haven't been created.
I've also installed the php4-gd but it continue to returns me that error!!!
