Custom Theme made by me.

Please post your comments to the site, I'd like critical thinkers to let me know how good/bad/ugly the site is.

I just finished building the theme so I am still looking into a suitable banner. Once I get that it will look better.

Thanks for your comments.

I like the theme. Think it is very nice. Maybe a tweek here and there.

One thing that is off is the Calander. Maybe you should change the style sheet to the same one of your theme so that it blends into the site more.

I tried that, but when I do it like that, and show the calendar in the center panels, it shows up all cuddled to the center instead of spreading through the width of the panel... something was off and I let it use the original style it came with. I am also trying to make a new stylesheet for it, on the meantime, I am testing a bit here and there... I added a new welcome panel replacing the stock one, now it shows user names as part of the welcome message.

good work .
i like it.
the borders and text all look good, no real contrast issues(some colors dont like to be together)
2 suggestions on the theme

try a different panel top graffic, the panel names dont sit in a solid BG they kinda stick out over your spiked themed borded pic

dont take this the wrong way, its a criticism that ends in a compliment.
you went a little low rez on the page background and the paisley looking top and bottom borders( the image behind "GoA Theme by Elvenelf"wink, and it seems to"cheapen" what is otherwise a really good looking site.

Awesome, thanks for the tips guys, I'll work now to improve those images in background with low res. Actually I had to rip those from somewhere else and make them larger which is why they lost so much resolution, but I should be able to rip fresh copies with better res, at a larger img-size... will take me some effort but totally do-able lol.

Thanks a lot guys!

(1) Did you try my instructions for making show_big_month.php into a center panel? That will get you where you need to be on that one.

(2) I thought I had resolved the tooltips not working with Shedrock's shoutbox on the same site. I saw that someone's was not working some time back, temporarily installed his shoutbox mod on my test server, worked out the conflicts (very, very easy to get conflicts in javascript), and when I was satisfied, went back to the stock shoutbox. Seems I have to do more digging and I do NOT look forward to it :).

I wish you had said something earlier, I would have tried to get it resolved. Feedback, feedback!

Oh, and I like the look of the site. I'm learning to code but my creativity for graphics and themes is low. I'm way too logical in my thinking it seems.

EDIT: Looking at the source code for your rendered page, it seems you selected the themes folder as the location of style.js. However, when I pointed my browser to that location, error 403. Pointing to the default directory - infusions/calendar_of_events_panel/jscript/ - I get the contents of style.js. You have to move that to your theme folder to make it work or change the settings back to point at the default location. Whew, 30 good minutes or more wasted looking through the two different tooltip files for duplicate variables...hmmm, $50 and hour...you owe me $25!

Oh my! Are you for real!?

BTW, thanks for checking out my site. I am really pleased with the results. Its my first theme modification so I thought it would be harder but seems that the base theme I chose was the right one.
Thanks to all who checked my site and those who will go and have a look.
Thanks to all.

Yeah, I'm for real. But tell you what - you continue to learn how to theme, I'll continue learning how to code, and we can swap knowledge as we go. So I'll just start a tab right now

:D.

Theme looks OK but is a little slow to load for me. Also, the WoW background showing through the nav and login panels is a tad bit annoying IMO. Other than that, great job.

Well, panel bg color is set to transparent on purpose cuz I wanted to see the forest image through the panels ... it is shaded so it won't go past the log on panel or nav panels... and the most important content the parts that one usually stops to read with caution, u get the clean font on black bg so u get good contrast for easy reading. An altern way to show it is moving the forest bg to the subheader table on theme.php and allowing a general black bg color for the site below subheader.php. That would give more contrast on a general aspect. I think I'll try that and see how it looks.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Most apreciated indeed.
