There are actually several fallback conditions in post.php so any one of several could have kicked you out. Doesn't make sense but post the link you go to when clicking on "New Thread". In othe words, right click on the new thread button and copy the link location. Paste the link here (you can take out site name, just want part of link starting with post.php).

Just curious, but why did you install 6.00.307 3-4 days ago when 6.01.3 has been out for some time now? Was this a fresh install?

For me your new thread link looks ok. Kejononn make think otherwise. Wait for his response. You have you’re PHPFusion in a subfolder of your domain but that shouldn’t be a problem. As it says in you’re post you only been running your site for a few days so maybe a new fresh install would solve you’re problem. The most resent version is 6.01.3

Yeah, the link is fine...nothing in that would result in a fallback situation. Post.php is mostly a script that checks several situations and there are a bunch of situations that could result in a fallback to the index page. I would suggest you upgrade (although this is not the cause of your problem) just because you'll be re-uploading all of the necessary files. At this point it may be that you have a corrupt forum file since you are an admin.

Try that and let us know what happens. Just be sure to follow the directions on upgrading because you can make some mistakes if you are not careful.

Ok, If I perform database backup and save it and load in the new version. Will my content/users still be able to load in the fresh install ?

If I remember right is the database backup done in 2 different ways between you’re version and the latest one. You have to save you’re .sql file locally (in you’re case especially the users table). I don’t think that there have been any changes made beside of the photo galleries and photo tables in the database. Don’t take my word for it I there could bee some more issues to this that I’m not aware of.

@spyder3k, yes, everything will be there but do make certain you make a database backup just in case something goes awry. And follow the directions for upgrading as they are written. Everything should be good to go when you upgrade.

You will not have to restore the backup unless something goes wrong. Going by memory, the steps are (1) back up database (2) upload update.php and perform an update in system admin (3) upload the new files.

Just be sure to follow the instructions. In fact, look at the "Upgrade Clarification" news item on the front page of this site.

Thanks for helping with the new thread problem, it was fixed till I restored my saved DB. I even dropped the fusion_forums table from my saved DB and made a new table from the default sql dump.

Is this on a local server or publicly available? At this point I'd need to look at it more closely than just taking wild guesses...
