Hi Tom.

Nice site. However, I really would suggest upgrading to v.6.01.6 - you'll find it here:

No no! Your not old? You're MIDLE AGED between the age of 30-60. Not that it's sounds much better, lol... I too don't have any grey hair, that would be impossible at the rate I'm losing it (my hair, that is...)

I am a little nervous about upgrading to the version mentioned.
Honestly I'm not sure how to do it?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Tom

If you download the core 6.01.6 package, there is a nice readme included.
It explain the upgrade process step by step, and it's not difficult.

Remember to backup your original files and DB first, and there's really nothing to be afraid of.

If something in the readme sounds unclear to you, please feel free to ask!

In the upgrade file there is a blank_config.php file. I have config.php
already in the root, do I need to rename the blank_config to config.php before I upload the files!.

Thanks.

It should not be necessary to upload that file at all, as you already have a working "config.php" at your site.

Well I followed the upgrade instructions to the LETTER, and I still had trouble, if the site was older then I would be ****ed:@, but since it is under construction I'll let it go.

If your site is ****ed anyway, why not implement a new 6.01.6 from scratch?
You can spend hours trying to make the old site work. That must be compared to the effort of setting up a new site (approx 15 minuttes) and then frigging it to fit your grey hair site (??? minuttes)

When 7.00 comes, hopefully in a few months, it will probably be easier to have the 6.01.6 ready for the upgrade.

Grey hair? A little. Thats why I adopted this proper middle-age hairstyle years ago.;)

remember to backup your files first of all and the database, that way you can allways restore your site afterwards. But you do have a security risk in having an older site running
