It needs some work, and thier should also be a php-fusion copyright, otherwise it is illeagel.

Mayby it doesent need copyrights, but for the respect for the developers it should have the link to their site, afterall thats the only way to get this script out to more and more people, and that way keep getting better and better.

Consider this...

Crew members reserve the right to offer support if you took the liberty of removing the rightful meritory copyright notices or link back to this site.

This issue about copyright has been talked over and over countless times on these forums, and frankly i don't think we will ever stop seeing people posting their sites without copyrights just because they think Opensource = free as in I do whatever I wish with it... and then they manage to come back in here asking for support...

I will not offer you my help until you re-establish PHPFusion footer link back to this site. (As you said, no need to put all the text for copyright... but at least leave a link back in here)

More than 90% of your website, (the one you say that at least you have one) is made by Nick Jones aka Digitanium, and you have no moral or ethic right to say that.

I expect further discussion from this issue, but I will not take part of it as my point has been clear enough through my post in here. Other crew members might have their own personal views on this as well, but frankly I am one that will not give any help at all to someone who has knowingly removed the copyright notice and has no intention of re-establishing at least the link back to this site.

With that being said... I think it is only fair to say that one does not need to remove credit towards PHP-FUSION in order to own a great website... why not look into my clan site? dclans [dot] com

It HAS link back into this place and it looks awesome (at least I like to think it looks awesome, but tastes vary from person to person).

Think about it matthews... it is only reasonable...

Yup, you said it, you are blind lol

Its in there... just merged into an image map... it says... "site powered by php-fusion"

ALL the way down at the left side footer next to the green orc face... look further before saying such a thing lol

You see... with a little effort you can give the well deserved credit in style... just try it... you'll feel better... ( and have more community support too).

Stop with the illegal talk! The Licensing Agreement does not make the fee to remove the copyright required. The verbage states that the user can remove it and to "please consider making a donation via Paypal". This is not mandatory to remove copyright footer!

Lastly, who knows it the user did or did not make a donation. What gives you the right to judge the user? Gotta love members that make judgements and accusations when users abide by the license agreement!

Damn!

He has not donated. License agreement does not say remove it either. The fact that the current license agreement is ambiguous in that regard does not imply that users can remove this notice at will.

The choice is theirs. When it comes to give support, the choice is mine, if I want to give support or not, depends on what I see in the website and how a user approaches me asking for support. In any case, this particular user has not asked me for support, but I am using this issue as an example.

You can bring up all the technicalities you want. My point is clear in this aspect. If a user is not happy with leaving the credit to Nick Jones, or at least mention that they are using PHPFusion with a link back in here... then by the same freedom, I reserve the right to offer my help.

I am not alone in this regard. I know many who think this way too. So before you take it personally, let me tell you that this has been told and re-told many times, i am simply re-telling what has been said many times already.

You stripped the copyright? Cool! Good for you! Your site is broken!? You cant pull a panel together?

Hmmm.... I don't know ... I wont help you if you stripped copyrights... thats all I am saying. I never said it was ILLEGAL as you claim i did.

End of the story...:o
