Backup database doesn`t work HELP

So i`m going in the system panel and click on the backup ....ok but when i click on the "backup" button nothing happen , no window apears ...or popup ...what can be the problem ?

is there other way to backup my database?

Hi.

Personally I haven't had much luck with the db backup in fusion as well. I back up my database with phpmyadmin.

Depending on how and who your host is, there are various ways to get to it.

At least for the time being you can back up your database while you get the solution from an expert here.

Yes, you must enter your password as BBK mentions.

Also, depending on your download speed, it may take several minutes before the download (to your computer) starts.... Be patient. If the download does not start within 5 minutes, then you might have a problem or your database is very large and may require more time to download.

It did not work either for me, but I was making a mistake. I was putting my database password (The one I use in phpMyAdmin), and it did not work, it just reloaded the page, but once I put my php-fusion Admin password, it worked smile

be carefull not to use gzip compression if your site is hosted on a windows machine as IIS will not handle the file transmission in binary mode and you'll get a currupt gzip file and a useless backup.

:oheeeelp.. i have the problem you describe zbing.....
i got a currupt gzip backup file, and deleted everything on my site, before testing the backup file.....

how do i repair/recover my backupfile?
