I have a website: www.webmaster-files.com The url itself ranks as a PR of 4 but when you go to my site you get a pr of 0 since my site redirects to news.php. Is there a way to harness my pr so my homepage has a pr of 4? It is vital for link exchanges.

What is PR?

How would news.php affect it?

If You want answers, don't assume we know what You are talking about, using acronyms and stuff. Explain better.

PR is the Google PageRank

On my Site at http://www.isogames.de is no news.php anymore
:D

You must rename the news.php in index.php and delete the old one.
Then edit the index.php and rename all news.php into index.php

Of course you must change the startpage from news.php to index.php in the Admin Panel

Hope that helps ;)

I did that but when I go to http://www.becoldplay.be/ no panels are shown (welcome message,...) only the news. And when I go to http://www.becoldplay.be/index.php all the panels are shown

How can I show the panels at http://www.becoldplay.be ?

ok, i did this on my news archive site... results so far are without problems. This tweak works ok so far.

Did a replace search for news.php in news.php so any instance of news.php inside the code would be renamed to index.php. Then I rename the file news.php to index.php

then in the admin section I chenge the starting page from news.php into index.php, and the default index.php file that has a redirect in it I added a 1 to change its name into index1.php... thats about all I did... it worked for me.:D

From page rank 0 it went all the looong way into page rank 1. w00t!:@

I went to my news.php file and changed everything in that file that said news.php to index.php, then I renamed the file index.php.

Went to my admin panel and set startpage to home.php since index.php showed up as a 404 error. When I switched the startpage to home.php, the site showed up fine but the Welcome panel did not show up. The header, subheader, side panels, footer, and news panels showed up but not welcome panel.
