hi guys !

I am new to dis PHP world.. a noob to say the least... i know quite a bit abut HTML but definately not much idea abut PHP ....

I hav recently installed the PHP Fusion based site as instructed in da manual...but i got som problems....


prob. 1 : when i was registering as super user I entered the email

xyz@gmail.com does dis efeect the fuctionality of da site...


prob 2: secondly wen I was logged in as admin browsing thru ADMIN > system admin >main settings > now theree is again a link called "site email ...wat i hav to fill it hear ... can i fill my old email address xyz@gmail.com..... coz it say " you@yourdomain.com"

prob 3. Once i save my setting there is no way revertin it back .. so dere is nothin like previewing ur changes u hav made.. so is there any way i can make changes even after saving da settings...

i hav xperienced dis coz i hav saved da settings widout fully organising all the things.... this tptally ruined my first installtion.. dats y i was askin dat email stuff coz i dont wanna do ll again.........

hope u ppl understand my situation........

problem 1 : No, this wouldn't cause a problem.

problem 2 : You can just put your g-mail email if you want.

problem 3 : Yes, after you save the changes, you can change them back.

If you make changes in the admin panel. All you have to do is go back to that admin panel and change it.

simply.... remember what u have changed and revert back previous last... like emal, if you chage to something@gmail.com u can always revert back to you@yourdomain.com

wel i hav done the same wen i first installed this php package...

but after saving i didnt get the "save setting " option...

Most changes made after the /setup.php process can be un-done easily. Usually, by changing a value back to what it was before in the administrator panel.
