So the release is today. The following is a statement from the Mozilla blog:

We’re just over 12 hours until the start of the long-awaited Download Day! Our Guinness World Record attempt will start when Firefox 3 is officially launched at approximately 10:00 a.m. PDT (17:00 UTC) on Tuesday, June 17th. [ -posted at 21:09, June 16th, 2008


Release is scheduled for:
1:00 p.m. Eastern Time
12:00 p.m Central
11:00 a.m. Mountain
10:00 a.m. Pacific


Your thoughts?
How many computers will you be putting it on?

I downloaded and i want to say one interesting thing:
I got in my computer old installation (Firefox V3.0 RC3) and current (Firefox V3.0) is same size! i checked even using properties. SAME NUMBERS! how you can explain it?

The Final and RC3 are identical. RC3 was just a small OS X fix, nothing was changed for the Windows and Linux versions.

Woohoo I'm lovin my firefox 3... it took me long enough to get into the site, then download the right version, then install but i'm finally sittin back browsing with the new awesome v3.... (Yeah, php-fusion will handle the release of version 7 a whole lot better... i just know it.)

I've been using beta (haven't downloaded it "officially yet", but I will in about 15 minutes), and you'll love FF3 if you like FF2. There's some really cool features and some new security features in the beta, more in official release.

You need to download it.


I'm probably going to download it 2 times, one for each laptop (but I may not bother with the other one).

Downloaded FF3 to give it a try (am an Opera fan) and it screwed my machine. After install, it refuses to run and stops everything else from running - only a reboot corrects everything and I can;t dare try to run it again. Reinstall made no difference..

Will stick with Opera for now.

Are you sure you downloaded the correct version (that is, for the correct operating system)? I don't mean to sound offensive, but you could have clicked the wrong link.

It's really an amazing browser, I've been using it since it was B1, and I've not been able to do without it since (especially the search as you type address bar).

Me to, but after i opened beta1 i uninstalled it and installed V2, because i got some problems witch surfing web.
