Hi, and thanks for the god work you do on php-fusion.

My problem is when I am trying to download large files from my site, the download stops or says its finished downloading. Altough its not.
The problem is not absolute and somthimes it works, and non of the files is coruptet, have testet them all via ftp download.
The problem starts on files grater than 4-500 megabytes.
Is there anybody who has the same problem and maby a solution for that?
I must say that I
m nut shure if the problems lays whit php-fusion or my web host. I knowe i dont have that kind of limitations at my host, but ofcourse the error can lay at my host anyway.

Sry. if my english is hard to understand.

Use plain a-z and underscore_ in download-name. And try figure out a way to downsize the files a bit, if posible. (Camtasia Studio is a very usefull tools for videos, but you have to pay for it)

I do understand that such large files can stop when using http as transfer protocol. But downloading them via ftp would not help me anny, since I was the person who uplodet them in the first place. And I am the only one with ftp acces.
But the redirect is the problem. Becouse if i use a download manager or in other ways trying to download the files with tols where you can resume a download, I wold only get somthing like ..../download.php and nothing happens.
I gues if you guays tell me a way to dircet link a download file I wold be somwat helped.

The only handling of files done by PHPFusion is the redirection to the location of the file that you specify. It has no effect on the performace. I agree with sveinungs that it is common for large files to become corrupt or even just time out/stop during downloads over http. You may want to try using FTP to download the files instead.

I knowe its big files, but i tought it might had somthing to do with the way the files was handled by fusion. I dont have inuff knowlage about this to tell. But my wild gues was that its the same reason why you cant use a download manager or resume files in eg. the opera web-browser.
Gues it has somtihing to do with the way the download permisions work?

The site url is: www.auklan.net

Yes, and it's not uncommon to have download-issues with large filesizes, 400-500MB are a big "chunk" of info for the server to send and for your internetconection to download.
Do you have a site URL?

PHPFusion does not affect file downloads on the server. There is something wrong with either your internet connection or your host.
