I know this sounds quite strange, but under the admin/forum options, there is no text printed, and the edit/delete links are missing. I can add forums, and categories, but I cannot edit them, and don't actually know what settings I am setting about them when I create them.

Any suggestions?

Problem solved, some of the files in the locale/admin area were corrupted.
