For some reason on my forums, I and others get randomly logged out. Often when I login and click a link it will then log me out and make me login again before I can go there.

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

maxtor .... what and where are these links you talked about? is there any links other than that in tha Main Settings option .. I use DHTML Menu.. but there i put the same as that in the Main Settings option... and still some 2 or 3 users got this problem.

If you make a link, or someone posts a link, and it has www. when you are NOT using www. (look in the url bar before you click the link), then it will log you out with some hosts. The cookie settings are not set for www. and not using www. when you log in using one or the other.

things ive tried:

replacing downloads.php with un-modded version. -> still get logged out when clicking on downloads link.

removing temp internet files, cookies, and did full clean of system temp files using CCleaner

tried altering IE 7 to be less strict on cookies.

added line: header('P3P: CP="IDC DSP COR CURa ADMa OUR IND PHY ONL COM STA"'wink;

under <?php of set user and downloads .php's

now looking at Maincore cookie settings. anyone familiar with how to alter them to maybe give me a fix?

Again, problem is that after log-in, clicking most links in nav bar lead to log-out.
After user logs back in, everything works (even links in nav bar).

again, any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I too have this problem!!!

anyone found a fix for this?

seems that when I login, I can access forums fine. once I click on the Downloads, Articles, weblinks Ect I get logged out.

Once logged in for the 2nd time, everything works. I personally dont mind this, however my community is getting aggravated.

Any and all help greatly appreciated!
