Hi guys, this is an alpha version of my digital camera "selection assistant" website:

http://www.gotmycam.com

It is still being worked on, but the main framework has been laid out.

Basically, a visitor would decide what he or she wants to do with a digital camera and click one of the buttons. A list with suitable cameras comes up with a concise list of reasons why this camera fits the purpose.

All feedback is welcome and encouraged.

And perhaps let users review their cameras and software that are bundled with it?

Also, you can use the Photogallery for pictures of other stuff than just cameras, (How do I take a pic of my camera when I only have one camera, btw?), competitions etc...

Cool site, as a noob in photo world I'm keeping an eye on your site, interesting!

mike, why don't you accept suggestions for cameras that people wanna have information about?

That could add interactive value for ya!

Also, why not make really good use of the Photoalbum? (If you have the webspace, that is!)

Good initiative, I really like it.

True, maybe create a new category for High-End cameras

Hey guys, thank you for your comments. Not all cameras that were selected have been entered into the database as of yet.

What gotmycam.com is trying to do is select a few cameras that are best for each purpose. Then, the user will not be overwhelmed by choices. So many cameras will not be mentioned.

Thank you for checking out an early version of this website. I will continue to improve it.
