Any particular reason you can't upgrade to v7?

Anyhow - to add more smilyes i v6 you need to modify 'maincore.php'
Hopefully this will get you on the right track:

Hi.
Please use a describing title for the thread - like "Add more smileys" and not "PhP-Fusion" like now.

I'm guessing you use PHPFusion v7 - and then it's pretty easy to add/edit smiley.

1] Upload the new smiley-images via FTP to the folder ../images/smiley/

2] Go to System Admin => Smileys
From there, add/edit the smileys.

In PHPFusion, post the smiley bbcode in the forum or shoutbox.

If you want to use it on a custom page, you'll have to use the parsesmileys(); function.

If you want to post smileys in the news or articles, you'll need to use a <img src='/images/smileys/...gif' /> tag.
