Not gonna happen. End of discussion. The license is interpreted according to the FSF's standards.

Locked.

And the source of the mods database made for phpfusion-mods.com.

You can mail them to my email address. Thanks!

In addition to Mangee's quote at #6:

Everything , but I mean "everything" licensed under AGPL v3's source code should be publicly available.

When you're making themes, don't you include images in package? Isn't that package licensed under AGPL v3? So what's the issue here ?

From AGPL v3:

Quote

When we speak of free software, we are referring to freedom, not price. Our General Public Licenses are designed to make sure that you have the freedom to distribute copies of free software (and charge for them if you wish), that you receive source code or can get it if you want it, that you can change the software or use pieces of it in new free programs, and that you know you can do these things.

Developers that use our General Public Licenses protect your rights with two steps: (1) assert copyright on the software, and (2) offer you this License which gives you legal permission to copy, distribute and/or modify the software.

A secondary benefit of defending all users' freedom is that improvements made in alternate versions of the program, if they receive widespread use, become available for other developers to incorporate. Many developers of free software are heartened and encouraged by the resulting cooperation. However, in the case of software used on network servers, this result may fail to come about. The GNU General Public License permits making a modified version and letting the public access it on a server without ever releasing its source code to the public.

The GNU Affero General Public License is designed specifically to ensure that, in such cases, the modified source code becomes available to the community. It requires the operator of a network server to provide the source code of the modified version running there to the users of that server. Therefore, public use of a modified version, on a publicly accessible server, gives the public access to the source code of the modified version.

The license text says itself.

So go on, try to sell, but whatever you sell, you MUST share that for free and publicly available. Would you pay cash for something which you can get the same for free ?

So please, don't make scrabble games in simple quotations and paragraphs. Read the license whole and once. If you did and could not understand, try to read once more please.

If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask free software foundation

If the images styles work with the theme then you must give me the images to. If the style.css uses PHPFusion Classes then you must give me for free and if you dont give me for free then I can simply look at the CSS and take and and just as easily can save the images to my computer so what's your point?

Nope if someone requests code licensed under AGPL then you must give it to them, if you ask for money and they do not want to give you money but they still want the code you must still give the code so charging is pointless so then I can just say "Give me Code?" and you must give me the code. Easy.

It's good that the new license is coming so we can sell. But as far as I understand for now we can take tax for downloads and for it need vip system in order to be legal.

You cant SELL someone else work. You can CHARGE for people to download.

Read the license its in the third paragraph of the preamble.

Please note: If you expect friendly comments, you should try to act the same.

No, until recently people could use PHPFusion on commercial websites by acquiring the copyright removal license. However, as I said earlier, we are about to release the Commercial Core License, which is especially meant for people who want to make use of PHPFusion for commercial activities. In preparation for the new license, we made the necessary changes to our current license so it will reflect its proper usage in the future. This is normal. If this is an inconvenient for you, right now, I'm sorry. However, this will change very soon - don't worry.

Sorry if we look bad in your eyes, but we expect that people also make an effort to read what we have already written on the licensing page. Anyway, if it helps, this is the summary:

The PHPFusion v7 core is released under the GNU AGPL v3 license. This means everyone gets the code for free and everyone modifying our code must publish the changes for free to anyone who can interact with the modification - as long as they ask, obviously.

Buying the copyright removal license is a way to get rid of the AGPL license restrictions but at this moment we are only offering the Copyright Removal License to non-commercial websites. Selling anything on your site would make it commercial, so right now we don't have a solution for you. However, we will fix this very soon. It is now only a matter of [small2](little)[/small2] time before we launch the PHPFusion Commercial Core License.

I hope this explains what you wanted to know.
