Hi there everyone. Im completly new to PHP Fusion. :) Just installed it on my own Synology CS407 NAS. And looks like its running okey. But when people are trying to registre they are getting the error "Send mail failed, please contact the Site Administrator". I tryed the contactform, at that works fine. It is only when they try to registre. Anyone have an idea for this? :(

Thx for your help. :)

I am not a coder but I would have to say no. I have also used other systems and had no related issues. Then again I have never looked closely at the mail setup since I never needed to.

I think we need more info, can you look at the server logs?

I am not familiar with Synology. However I am not sure it would count as a regular mail server wher You can set up and manage different mail accounts pertaining to a specific domain. For that you need a "real" server. And a "real" web host that forwards your domain and the e-mail atttached to it to the IP adress of your NAS.

I have just tryoed to use gmail's smtp server, and got the same error. I can still send via the contact form, but cant get any mail via the registrationform. :(

Oh. And my Synology NAS server can send using the other SMTP information with no problem (Like if a disk crash, it will send a notification mail)

By using an e-mail account that is inherent to the site.
Then, you can forward it to you "real" account. I do it all the time, but then again, depends on your host.

Check with them first.

It may dependant on the host configuration requirements.
Some hosts (like a few of mine) do not allow sending web forms content to an e-mail address that is not inherent to the registered site.
