What is "User Fields Category"?

I was looking for a way to force those registering on my site to enter in their First and Last Name. Is that what the "User Fields Category" is for? I can't find it in the manual and when I try to search for it in the forum, I get all kinds of postings to look at, but none seem to be what I am looking for.

I was referencing have a entry that just says "Real Name". I have had a number of really phoney registrations from spammers and want to make it easier to weed out this registrations. Past experience from a different website I manage shows that Hacker/Spammers are not too original in their selecting a username or a complete Real Name. I just want to make it harder for those people and easier for me as a site administrator.

Not relevant to User Fields Category. I believe in v7, you have "required on register" checkbox when you install them User Fields.

User Fields Category is the separation of different kind of userfield into groups.
If you want to separate first- and lastname, you need to extend your userfields on your site with one for firstname and one for lastname
