The backup feature has been changed in v6.01. Backups are no longer kept on the server for security reasons.

There is now a place above the BACKUP button for you to enter your password, another security feature introduced in v6.01. Be sure to put your password in there before you hit the BACKUP button. The backup files will be downloaded to your local hard drive.

What you try to say? That only way to backup your database is to go in php admin make database backup, save him on PC and upload him after that from PC. OK, so than it is not bug. Just it was not mentioned in installation help file, or I missed that?

You really should download and read the handbook. It's all nicely explained there.
The only diffrencees in the new version is:
1 - You must enter your password
2 - The backup will be downloaded and saved on your pc. Simple! ;)

You dont need to use phpMyAdmin.

You could argue that the backuppage should inform users when they press the button to:

1) Input a password

2) Inform them if the password were wrong

Its not logical that nothing happens, it should at least display an error.
