I have a user who despite all the security I set is getting spambots, and he thinks it might be from the site. He says he is unable to hide his e-mail address, and I don't see any reason whu users shouldn't be allowed to hide their e-mail addresses, so I looked for the option to turn on or off - whatever the case may be. I can't find it! Is there a way to allow users to hide their e-mail addresses?

Appreciate the help!

All users can hide their e-mail address on the site.
Edit profile->hide email.
Superadmins can edit all users profile and check the "hide email" box.

EDIT/ Use this register.php to have the hide email checked to "No" by default when new users sign up (fil attached)

Thank you! While I'm loosely on the subject of spambots, is there a fusion or mod for PHPFusion which allows you to track a member's activity and which can or will tell you if they are using bots?

Thanks again!

I think there's a little bug in the edit_profile.php file.
If i set my e-mail to be hidden it still get displayed in the profile.
Not only @ my site but on many php-fusion sites where the edit_profile and profile.php file is modded it seems.

That’s when you are logged in as an admin. Normal users don’t se the email when they do a “lookup profile”.
