Hi,
I have a big problem, i use the TinyMCE Editor, and now for example, when i want to write news or something, I have no buttons, no icons, nothing, only the textbox. For showing you what i mean, i attached a screenshot. Its really a big problem. That's really weird, cause up to now, it worked ever fine... I have java / javascript activated, and I have the TinyMCE Editor activated, and when i reinstall it on a new server, the same problem exists, please help me, i don't know what to do...

Try deactivate and reactivate the Editor in the System Settings.
The server movage may very well be the culprit, but it depends on many things.

From \includes\jscripts\tiny_mce\langs\readme.txt:

Language packs are from version 2.0.5 removed from the core but can be downloadable from the TinyMCE website.
http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/download.php

The language pack codes are based on ISO-639-1
http://www.loc.gov/standards/iso639-2/englangn.html

Try using entires if possible. å etc.

You could try to download the German language pack for Tinymce and then upload it to see if it fixes your problem.

The best solution is not necessarily a technical solution !

I had the exact same problem. I found the solution in some thread by Digitanium:

Digitanium wrote:
One reason could be your host doesnt support gz (we use mce compressor in v6.01), edit administration/subheader.php, replace line 30:
echo "<script language='javascript' type='text/javascript' src='".INCLUDES."jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce_gzip.php'></script>

With:
echo "<script language='javascript' type='text/javascript' src='".INCLUDES."jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js'></script>

Which one of the above codes that works depends on the host/server its put on.
I have several sites on several hosts. Some work at some, the other at the others. I haven't been unsuccessfull in fixing the problem using the above code!
