After upgrading to v7 I get a strange dialog box when inserting and editing pictures (via tinyMCE) in news and articles.
Instead of having the popup where I can select the picture and choose attributes etc. I get a blank popup with the heading "advimage_dlg.dialog_title" like this:
knuhangei.dk/images/pic.PNG

I tried to copy all the files up again, especialy the /includes folder, but with no result.

This is my second site upgrade from 6.01.15 to v7. The first site does NOT have this problem. They are both hosted by the same host (Servage) with same settings.

Looks like a TinyMCE language code problem to me.

Have you tried to switch to english and see if the error is still there?

Now I have. The problem remains with English language.
btw, its also the same problem with links; "advlink_dlg.title"

I even tried to copy the whole /includes folder from the working site to the second site. Still not working.

I think I got a little closer to this mystery.

In between the copying of my first and my second site, I applied some changes to the settings in my FTP-tool; Total Commander in the "FTP tab":

I changed the Default Transfer mode from "Default" to "Automatic", and it actually helped speed up the copying.

But comparing the file sizes for files on my laptop and the size of the same files copied to the server revealed differences in size. The server files where sometimes smaller! (nasty!)

It turned out to be because of this change in settings. When resetting the parameter, copied files would again have the same size as the source.

Now I am in the midst of comparing/copying all the files up again.
So far, I copied all the files, but the problem remains... Hm...
I'll be back when/if I discover the problem...

Yep! That was the problem. It didn't work at first, but then I cleared temp. internet files etc. and now it works.

Lesson learned: Never mess with settings you don't know what is !!! B)

Such a simple, non-technical solution! ;)
