smokeman, here is a fix for your panel, best way to improve performance smile

Quote

SELECT [...] comment_item_id, COUNT(comment_item_id) AS comments_count


use in code:
$data['comments_count']

also you can use JOIN in your sql query - example for news:

INNER JOIN ".DB_NEWS." tn ON comment_item_id=news_id
