Hey,
I am having the toughest time trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I cannot seem to get a center panel to work unless it is the welcome panel. I've read thru the forums here is what I have so far. Please tell me what in the heck I'm doing wrong.

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton"wink;
echo "<a href=http://www.rohostuff.com/viewpage.php?page_id=2></a>";
closetable();

I also tried this:

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton"wink;
echo"<a href=http://www.rohostuff.com/brendahpanel.htm></a>";
closetable();

and this:

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton"wink;
include"<a href=http://www.rohostuff.com/brendahpanel.htm></a>";
closetable();

I saw in one of the forums where you needed to change your index.php page to include center panels. I'm lost, and I had to reupload my site like 3xs already. I'm sure it is something simple, but I would really like to get past this. Thanks a bunch. K

No need to reupload, I guess.
First of all, you need to use (single)qoutations (') in your code, and a link description, like:

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton");
echo "<a href='http://www.rohostuff.com/viewpage.php?page_id=2'>This is the description</a>";
closetable();

This will only give you a link, though. But it will help you on the way...
To get the page in the panel, include is the right way, yes.

ok imo i tried this

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton");
include"<a href='http://www.rohostuff.com/viewpage.php?page_id=2'>This is a description</a>";
closetable();

and this

opentable("Essence Best Selling Artist, Brenda Hampton");
include"<a href='http://www.rohostuff.com/brendahpanel.htm'>This is a description</a>";
closetable();

and I still cannot get the panel to show up.

Something like this might work depending on your image path in the html you wish toinclude:

opentable("name");
  include ('http://www.rohostuff.com/brendahpanel.htm');
closetable();

If images are not displayed, then try to use the server path to the page.

If no go, then consider using an iframe or simply add the html code in the panel instead of calling another html page.

You can add regular html (text, links, images) to your Welcome message panel (adminpanel->main settings).

You are using a theme with fixed width, thats why the centerpanel (I see you got it now, good!) and the content in it is to wide - squesing your sidepanles. You need to [1] edit the html in the custom page, or [2] make your theme a bit wider. Anyway, good work, you're getting there.

//Edit: Could you post the code you're using in the custom page here?

Use the [code ] [/code ] -tags and paste your html in between.

Yes, there is a lot of style attributes in this html - you must leave some out for it not to interfer with your theme layout.
I've stripped out the unnessasry part, try this

<table width="100%" border="0" cellpadding="1">
<tr>
<td width="100%" align="center" valign="top"><p><strong>Best Seller's </strong></p>
<p align="left"><strong></span>Essence best selling Artist
Brenda M. Hampton</strong><br />
I'm Brenda M. Hampton, author of: the sizzling hot 'Two's Enough Three's A Crowd', Oh no he<img class="photo" src="ecommerce/images/bmh3sm.jpg" alt="Brenda Hampton" width="136" height="136" align="right"/> didn't 'My Way Or No Way', tear jerking 'How Can I Be Down?' Laugh Out loud 'SLICK', previously titled, My Best Friend's Man, Change Don't Always Come, Naughty by Nature, and No Justice No Peace. Writing is my passion, stay tuned for future page turning novels written by me<span class="style26"><span class="style28"><br />
<br />
<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=rohostuffcom-20&o=1&p=9&l=st1&mode=books&search=brenda%20Hampton&=1&fc1=&lt1=_blank&lc1=000000&bg1=CC0000&f=ifr" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" width="180" height="150" border="0" frameborder="0" style="border:none;" scrolling="No"></iframe>
</span>Click to buy </span></p>
</td>

Yes, you can have many center panels :D

As for the RSS news feed, it's hard to tell. It could be that you have not installed it correctly (a readme should tell you what files to edit, and how to configure the parser). It may allso be that you've got a parser that's for an older version of Php-Fusion?
