Photo gallery Problem

today all the images in my photo gallery just randomly disappeared although the photo names are still there and the photos are still on the server
Now when you go to the gallery there is a list of all the photo names with 'no thumbnail' by each. Clicking on them displays this 'Warning: filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for images/photoalbum/album_6/ffxiii.jpg in . . .'
I haven't changes any settings recently so i have no idea how this happened
any ideas?

Did your host change any settings?
Safe mode changes could cause this. Check this post:

safe mode had been turned off and so i had to move all the images into folders to get them to work. Strange why it is dependant on safe mode though.
