Hi - My TinyMCE is not there!...

I have tried to reinstall it. But it's still not there.

It's just... well not there.
I have not done anything with it at all - It's just not there.

Any idea on how to get it to work?

Question, is turned on TinyMCE editor? Verify, go to admin panel-->System Admin-->Miscellaneous Settings and first question choose Yes then click to Save Settings.

Hopey, what about your subheader.php in your administration folder?

check this:
make sure the tiny_mce_gzip.php actually exist where it should. If it does, change the code to point to tiny_mce_src.js instead.

if ($settings['tinymce_enabled'] == 1) {
   echo "<script language='javascript' type='text/javascript' src='".INCLUDES."jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce_gzip.php'></script>
<script type='text/javascript'>

I had the same problem after I had installed PHPfusion for the first time. It did not make any differences if i slected TinyMCE Yes or No in the administration panel. I made the recommended change in subheader.php and now it works. There is a small problem with the icons for Bold, Italic and Underline in the editor. They show up as "broken" icons. Anyone an idea how to repair this?

:)

HopeyS, have you changed host lately? Maybe the new host dont support .gzip. If you have not changed host it may be that your host have turned .gzip off for some reason.

We had some problems with tinymce and it's gzip support suddenly stopped working. I have not figured out why, but going back to non-gziped version solves the problem. If your host upgrade the php version, that might 'kill' tinymce when using gzip, it seems.

This behaviour of TinyMCE seems to be a problem with the language settings. If i change the main language setting for the site from DUTCH to ENGLISH the problems in the TinyMCE seem to disappaer. Icons are good now and also the styles, formats and font size buttons are okay now.

Any suggestion how to improve his behaviour of TinyMCS because I don't want to swith my site to English

I solved the problem myself. Did a download of the Dutch language package for TinyMCE and uploaded it to the server. Problems are gone now and TinyMCE looks healty and complete.

:)

The problem with tiny_mce_gzip.php still exist. I have the subheader.php file still changed to tiny_mce.src.js. Otherwise TinyMCE does not function at all.
