if it worked before, write a mail to your host and tell them that the mysql server is not working anymore.
if you are in the process of installing PHPFusion, check the data you got when signing up for your webspace for the correct mysql host to use (localhost by default)

Thank you, after I posted this message, I'm on hold with my hosting company. I hven't changed anything at all, I was getting ready to leave for DMV, when I needed to add a new member, then this message came up. My site was already installed, I've been using your php for about 4 or 5 months now without problem. I haven't done any updates, changes to anything code, nothing. I was at my site 30 minutes ago, then like I said, all of a sudden this error message below:

Unable to establish connection to MySQL
2002 : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/usr/local/mysql-5.0/data/mysql.sock' (2)

Matanor, looks like everything is working fine again. The host company must of been doing something on their end.

Thanks for the quick response. While I know you usually don't like answer another question within a thread. Do I need to do any updates?

It looks like they updated their servers to Mysql 5 and rebootet the servers during this process.
I don't know if you have to update ;) if you have a version lower than 6.01.13, you probably should;)

I have v6.01.10. I don't want to wipe out my site, so how do I upgrade?

Thanks again for your help,

Eric
