Questions about panels

I think it is a mayor mistake that the administration team wants to banish all questions about panels to the mods site.

The mods site should be about modification of the system's core code.

The present site should generally be about making the best out of the system as it is, including making intelligent panels.

thats what they are doing by telling you to go to the MOD site if you want extra panels to your standard PF

thats what they are doing by telling you to go to the MOD site if you want extra panels to your standard PF

Adding a panel is just one of the system's standard possibilities, just like adding an article, a download, or a custom page. :)

Panels are mostly some kind of custom code. The panel features are not difficult to grasp and we can not support errors created by any given javascript or dhtml snippet that may cause some php execution error.

Hence we try to centralize the support give to panels, given the VAST diversity of those that can be made (random images, link-lists, ads, google...etc) to one site to provide better support, not worse.
