Wasn't forum polls a feature of v7? I just upgraded and was looking for it.

Its there !! hehe go into

admin panel > content > Forums

select a Forum and click edit. Make sure Create Polls and Cast Votes are enabled for each forum that you this to have ! - Good Luck
