Moved files to a new server

I had backed up all of my site files and uploaded it to another server, I also backed up the MySQL database and done the same.
I went to my domain and then it came up to the hosts error page, then I noticed that the Config file was pointing to my old DB and I changed the Config file.
But this didn't do the trick.
I am wondering if the database itself has information belonging to the old DB that is causing my site not to work.

you can also change your database name, username and password of your database name in config.php if you wish not to change the name of your current new database name in your new webserver.

I kept the same name, and changed the new MySQL settings in the config file.

It made no difference, I have been having a lot of problems with that host, I am switching to a different one and will hope for the best.
I hope I can get the DB to work with this one.

I uploaded the files successfully, and the database too.
I changed the config file, and now it works!

could you specify the name of the host for us,and specify the domain problems you was encountering?
