I would like to restrict the access to "Read More" on the news to members only.

On the danish forum I found a couple of suggestions. However they only work with news style Double Column.

In this thread from 2006 a solution is mentioned for v6. http://www.php-fusion.co.uk/forum/vie...post_83134

It is called "Smart News", and was made by Martini from the russian forum.

Will this work for v7?

Or does anybody know of a solution which restricts access to "Read More" to members only with news style Single Column?

I do not have a solution for you, only a recommendation: avoid mods or infusions that are not updated to at least version 7. That's is why the development process never ends, newer safer code.

I found this:

http://phpfusion-mods.com/forum/viewt...post_51815

It works.

I also got a different suggestion on the danish forum on the same subject http://www.php-fusion.dk/forum/viewth...rowstart=0. I haven´t tried that yet, but will do so later. If the modification can be made in just one file, this should be preferable.

I ended up using the suggestion from http://phpfusion-mods.com/forum/viewt...post_51815

It involves modifications of 2 files, where the suggestion from http://www.php-fusion.dk/forum/viewth...rowstart=0 involves modification of just 1 file. However, the modifications are bigger in the latter. But most important, I couldn´t figure out to do the modification to the "comment" link and the print icon! :)
