Hey man ! Really Nice !!!

I am using a Simple STEAM User Field which just display a Logo and links it to the User Profile !!!

But this great userfield made me aware that STEAM also provides XML data for the ID's ... Thanks :)

Same here I uploaded everything ok, it shows this in the profile:

Steam View profile - Add
Offline

I've tried adding community id, names ect... but you get an error message from steam when clicking view profile!

The way you have coded this it looks for http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/rasterman

Mine is:
http://steamcommunity.com/id/rasterman

I changed user_steam_include.php to mine and got it to work but it shows me always as OFFLINE

And it doesn't show the name the person has in the box.

I agree that you have to replace all /profiles/ by /id/ in order to get the data.

But have you tested it after Logging into the STEAM account...? Because it is working very Nicely and Fine for me... :)

I installed this on a live test site and it works 100%
Are you sure you use your steam community id ?

Link to my profile is
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76...7986955959

And then i copy -> 76561197986955959 and paste into Steam field in edit profile. I have no sulution on how to enter steam name instead for community profile id yet.

I think both of them work..... :P

Try : http://steamcommunity.com/id/johnnyga...aar/?xml=1 This is mine ;)

By the way, if both work, then I advice you to update and release a version of id too... Because People don't remember their Long ID's of these Numbers easily but they can simply remember the ID name, username by which they Login and Play !

I hope you understood... ;) Thanks for this Useful Userfield for Clan website Owners Drunken ! ;)

It doesn't matter ! Both are same but the usage is different !

- If you are using /profiles/ in URL, then you have to put ID Number.
- If you are using /id/ in URL, then you have to put the Profile Name.

See :

http://steamcommunity.com/id/rasterman/?xml=1
and
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197960701839/?xml=1
both are same !!!

By the way, you can Find the ID yourself in the XML data.

For example :

Quote

<profile><steamID64>76561197960701839</steamID64><steamID>[BBz]Rast3rMan[CL]</steamID><onlineState>offline</onlineState><stateMessage>Last Online: 6 hrs, 35 mins ago</stateMessage><privacyState>public</privacyState><visibilityState>3</visibilityState>

You can see the ID yourself in the steamID64 tag !
